Honl Flash Modifiers

  • 3 speed straps, 2 gobos, 1/4" & 1/8" grids and 8" snoot

I have a gaffertape and cardboard snoot around somewhere. I also have a bent Elinchrom reflector, that I've modified to take small flashes. With a grid on it, it beautifully shapes the light from the often harsh small flashes. But has it ever left my house? No.
The DIY stuff is great but it tends to stay home when I'm on newspaper or feature gigs. They would come handy on location but more often than not something is breaking up and some DIY stuff looks so weird, that it distracts the person you're there to shoot.
Honl flash modifiers are comparatively small, they have a really stealthy look and individually they don't cost that much (but get more of them and it starts to add up). I recently ordered a set of Honl modifiers and after I've used them for a while, I'll let you know how useful they are.
